Watch: Bhojpuri song allegedly played during World Cup actually from Berlin event

A viral video that emerged during the World Cup claimed that hundreds of people can be seen dancing to popular Bhojpuri song ‘Jila Top Lagelu’ in London. The posts on social media claimed that the video was recorded after the game between India and Australia on Sunday.

However, it turns out that the undated video is actually from the Berlin Karneval where multiple Indian dance groups performed and songs from different parts of India were played.

The video of the song being played came after another viral video emerged of a British man making the Bengali snack jhalmuri outside the stadium where the India vs Australia game was played.

Meanwhile, India will be playing against New Zealand in their third match of the tournament.

On the eve of India vs New Zealand match, on Wednesday Team s batting coach Sanjay Bangar came before the media and updated about Dhawan s injury.

Sanjay Bangar confirmed that KL Rahul automatically moves to the top in the absence of Dhawan

(An earlier version of this article said that the song was played in London. The error is regretted)
