Do something productive in your idle time: Virat Kohli to trolls
Indian cricket captain Virat Kohli has been at the receiving end for asking an Indian fan to leave the country for not liking Indian cricketers on his official app.
In that same 5-minute long video, ‘Virat responds to mean tweets,’ the 30-year-old goes on to mock and ridicule those trolling him.
From the ones who received flak from him was stand-up comedian Atul Khatri. When Virat and Anushka Sharma had gone to invite Narendra Modi for their wedding, Khatri had tweeted a meme saying: ‘#Virushka submitting their Aadhaar card & KYC forms to Modi directly.’
To which Virat had replied: ‘I am sure there is a lot of idle time that you guys have. Find something productive to do. One picture comes and you all think of ten different scenarios. We only went to give our wedding invitations. But, nice imagination, bro.’
The next in line was former South African spinner Paul Harris who had tweeted during Australia’s tour of South Africa earlier this year, ‘I saw Virat Kohli behave like a clown.’ ‘Who is this Paul Harris: looks like a cricketer?,’ retorted Virat.
If he has to then everyone does. I watched Kohli behave like a clown for three tests here in SA and nothing. Seems to me that @ICC either have an issue with Rabada or with the Proteas in general.

A Twitter user Abhishek Jatav (with the handle YOYOHISAAB) had written, ‘Bandar lag raha hai bhai, but love you.’ (You look like a monkey, but I love you.) Kohli broke into laughter first asking what kind of a name the user has. And then he says, ‘Guess, he likes monkeys.’
There was one particular tweet that Kohli actually liked was when a Twitter user had written: ‘Dandruff ne bana di jodi #VirushkaWEDDING.’ ‘Hadn’t we made the commercial we wouldn’t have been here. I absolutely love this tweet,’ tweeted Virat, referring to the shampoo advertisement.
As a result of all this, Virat has been facing a lot of social media backlash for targeting trolls. However, we ask you whether you think it is unbecoming of a sportsman to go down this route or if he has the right to answer every troll in the manner he wishes to?
On November 5, Virat had launched his official app ‘Virat Kohli’ as a ‘return gift to his fans’ on his 30th birthday.
