Afghanistan vs West Indies 2nd ODI Highlights: West Indies win an ODI series after 5 years
Afghanistan vs West Indies (AFG vs WI) 2nd ODI Highlights: West Indies won the 2nd ODI vs Afghanistan at the Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Cricket Stadium in Lucknow by 47 runs on Saturday. Having won the first match as well, West Indies have won the three-match series. This is their first ODI series win in five years.
West Indies set a target of 248 for the 'host' team, with Nicholas Pooran's 50-ball 67 at the death guiding them to a decent total. The ground sometimes resembled a horror movie more than a cricket venue when West Indies were fielding in the second innings in the evening, with thousands of moths descending on the ground, possibly attracted by the floodlights. Jason Holder and Kieron Pollard were seen having multiple conversations with the umpires about the playing conditions. Afghanistan were well within sight of the target till the 40-over mark, when the wickets of Najibullah Zadran and Mohammad Nabi in quick succession threw the wheels off the chase. Afghanistan were all out for 200.
